Let us show you a list of famous people who have become successful through their careers which is in relation to our track. They were also just like you. They had to start first at the bottom to be able to reach that level and we're sure these people will truly inspire you to become a part of our track.
Steve Jobs
Yes, the founder of our very beloved Apple. He left Apple at some time in 1985 after a struggle with the company's board of directors. He has returned once again 1986 to serve as an interim CEO when stock prices were decreasing. He was finally the permanent CEO of Apple in the year 1997. Originally, Apple had 350 projects but Jobs reduced them to 50 which later on became 10 instead. He then released the iMac, iPod, iTunes, and iPhone. Later on, Apple stock rose more than 9 000 percent.
Colonel Sanders
The founder of the tastiest fried chicken ever, KFC. He failed a lot of times before he became successful. When he reached the age of sixty-five, after running a restaurant for so many years, he found his pockets empty. But he didn't give up just yet! He loved to share his fried chicken recipe. He left his home at Kentucky and traveled to different states in the US just to sell his chicken. He cooked his chicken on the spot in front of restaurant owners. He was rejected for lots of times until finally, he was entered into a handshake agreement. He has taught us that we shouldn't give up because someday you'll be able to find the right door for you!
Ernesto Tanmantiong
The founder of the happiest bee alive, Jollibee! His life is another one of those rags to riches stories. One day he went on a trip to an ice cream plant, and he got inspired to become a part of the restaurant business. He had a franchising opportunity with Magnolia Dairy Ice Cream and opened two ice cream parlors. Several years later, he discontinued the Magnolia franchise and converted his parlors into fast food outlets. These fast food outlets are what we know now as Jollibee which is also sold in different countries. Today Jollibee Foods Corporation now uses different brands aside from Jollibee like Greenwich and Chowking.
Isaac Perimutter
The creator of our favorite super hero company, Marvel! He was a member of the Marvel Comics' board of directors when it unfortunately reached bankruptcy in 1996. Since he was the owner of Toy Biz, Inc., he merged the company with Marvel to release it from bankruptcy in 1998. In 2005, Perimutter was now Marvel's CEO. Marvel was purchased by Walt Disney in the year 2009 for $6 billion. Today, he still continues to serve Marvel as its CEO and the company is currently at $4.2 billion.
Henry Sy
The richest man in the Philippines and the founder of our very own SM Malls! Once again we have here another rags to riches story. He arrived at the Philippines at the age of 12 to help his father in his small sari-sari store for more than 12 hours. He decided to put up his first Shoemart and due to its popularity, he was able to open two more outlets. Later on, he decided to add appliances division to his stores. His stores were expanded by the 1960s and in the 1970s, it became a full-line department store and decided to change the name from Shoemart to SM.
